Michael Kelly professional farrier service offers full service equine podiatry, providing service with attention to details that is dependable, caring, kind & ethical in all phases of hoof care.  We recognize that all horses & owners have individual needs base on bred, age, athletic demands, conformation & availability to meet with the farrier.  Once a client relationship is established we offer to work on your horse without you present at no additional charge.  No more having to take time off work to hold your horse. 

Our service is modern & mobile.  We carry a large selection of many types of horseshoes, traction devices, pads, acrylic hoof repair products, supplements & hoof care products.  We also have growing video & book library available for rent. 

Michael is a graduate of Pacific Coast Horseshoeing school of Sacramento CA.  We are committed to continuing education, we were the only farrier team from Washington to attended the Farrier Focus Conference by Doug Butler.  Dr Butler wrote the text book that is used to teach farrier science across the nation.

Many breeds & disciplines are represented in our practice: Broodmares, Dressage, Halter, Hunter/Jumper, Barrel Racing, Driving, Ponies, Drafts, Mules, Donkeys, Gaited, Trail & Show horses.

Michael offers his farrier services to Island, Skagit, Whatcom & Snohomish County.  Generally, a 40 miles radius from our farm.

For Michael to work on your horse we ask you agree to the following conditions.

• Payment is expected at the time of service, cash or check

• Provide a clean, dry, flat, well lit & safe work place.  It is not necessary to have a barn however it still must be clean dry & flat.  If you don't have a well lit covered area, appointments are subject to weather conditions

• Horse must be trained & well mannered. He will stop work if horses present a safety hazard to themselves or anyone in the area. Veterinary services to administer chemical restraint must be arranged for in advance. If work has to be halted because of the horses behavior, you will be charged for our time.  With prior arrangements he will work on scared animals that have to learn to accept the farrier.  General rule of thumb if you can not safely pickup you animals feet please don't expect him to work on them.

• A 24-hour notice prior to appointment must be given for any appointment changes.  This includes:  Adding or subtracting horses from the schedule, changing what is scheduled to be done to the horse, canceling an appointment, etc. Less than  24-hours notice may result in a $25.00 change fee.
